<div id="iptc_btn" style="text-align: left;">R H Irving Construction Ltd has recently completed major repair work to the banks of the River Derwent at Camerton near Workington after the swollen river threatened to consume the picturesque church of St Peter’s.</div>

<p>More than 1,000 tonnes of rock to bolster the eroded section of bank in an operation lasting four weeks. The work involved the careful restoration of the graveyard section, ensuring that graves were not unduly disturbed. Those that had been exposed were secured and protected.</p>

Using a combination of stone support techniques, reinforced concrete and gabion baskets we were able to protect the structure from further erosion by the sea and preserve this historical monument for future generations.]]></description>
